Send It — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Send It ("the app," "we," "our") is a personal air quality and pollen conditions app for iPhone and CarPlay. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and what it does with it.
The short version
Send It uses your location to look up current air quality and pollen conditions for where you are. That's it. There's no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. Your location isn't stored anywhere by us, and nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing purposes.
Information we use
Location. With your permission, the app reads your device's location (while the app is in use) to request current air quality and pollen data for that area. If location access is denied or unavailable, the app falls back to a default location so it still has something to show you.
Your location is used only to make that lookup. It is sent, as geographic coordinates, to the third-party data providers listed below so they can return conditions for that spot — it is not sent to any server we operate, because the app has no backend of its own. We do not log, store, or retain your location history.
Air quality and pollen history. To show a multi-day trend, the app saves a short local history (up to five days) of air quality readings on your device only, using standard iOS local storage. This history is not tied to your identity, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted if you delete the app.
Nothing else. Send It does not ask you to create an account, does not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or any other personal information, and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
Third-party data providers
To retrieve current conditions, the app sends your coordinates directly to:
- AirNow (U.S. EPA air quality data) — see AirNow's data policies
- Ambee (pollen data) — see Ambee's privacy policy
These requests happen directly from your device to each provider; we don't see or store the responses on any server, since none exists. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle the coordinates they receive. We selected both providers for their data quality and have no relationship with them beyond using their public APIs.
Data retention and deletion
Because nothing is collected or stored outside your device, there is no account data for us to retain or delete. Deleting the app removes the local trend history described above. There is nothing further to request deletion of.
Children's privacy
Send It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a new feature that uses data differently — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
